New Members

TEGMA Chairman Mike Mandl said the association is pleased to welcome three new members.

  • ADM Grain Company is a unit of Archer Daniels Midland Company, based in Decatur, IL. ADM Grain Company operates the firm's grain assets with facilities in all major US production regions, plus export locations. The firm is involved in all facets of U.S. grain handling and merchandising. Pete Goetzmann, vice president, will represent the firm in TEGMA activities. ADM Grain Company is part of ADM's Agricultural Services group which is led by President Craig Huss.

 

  • Cereal Food Processors is the nation's fourth largest flour milling company. The company was founded by Fred Merrill in 1972 and today operates 10 flour mills in the United States and Canada. The firm has an annual wheat flour capacity of 95,800 cwts. Greg Edelblute, vice president-grain, will represent the firm in TEGMA activities.

 

  • Watco Companies, Inc., of Pittsburg, Kansas, is a transportation company serving transportation, mechanical, and transload/intermodal needs of customers throughout the nation. WCI is the owner of Watco Transportation Services, Inc., the largest privately-held short line railroad company in the United States, operating 21 short line railroads on more than 3,500 miles of track as well as 21 industrial contract switching locations. Watco also operates mechanical locomotive shops across the country and owns a transloading subsidiary. Doug Story, marketing manager, will represent the company in TEGMA activities.

Mandl said TEGMA welcomes not only the membership of these three companies, but also their active participation in TEGMA events.  With TEGMA now embarked on its new mission to address business and operational issues facing the grain and transportation sectors, Mandl said he welcomes the ideas of these and all members as the association looks to its future with new vigor and new vision.
