TEGMA Elects Knief as Chairman

TEGMA members have elected Bob Knief, senior vice president, Bartlett Grain Company based in Kansas City as Chairman for 2010 at the association's annual meeting on January 28, 2010.  Knief had previously served two years as first vice president. 

Knief succeeds Mike Mandl with Louis Dreyfus Commodities who served two one-year terms as Chairman.  Knief noted that Mandl served as the Association's Chairman during an important time in the group's history.  Knief said, "We thank Mike Mandl for his vision and his leadership as the group redefined its value proposition to members."  Knief continued, "Under Mike's leadership, TEGMA has greatly increased its activity level and seen a strong growth in membership and member participation."

Elected as First Vice Chairman was Todd McQueen, The Scoular Company, who previously served as Second Vice Chairman.  Newly elected to the officer slate is Mark Huston, director of transportation, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, who was elected as Second Vice President.  In addition, Huston was elected to the Board of Directors to fill a vacancy.

Active members elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors were:

  • Roger Fray, West Central Cooperative, Ralston, IA
  • John Miller, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Ft. Worth, TX
  • Paul Hammes, Union Pacific Railroad, Omaha, NE

Elected by members to one-year terms on the Board were representatives of Associate Members:  Greg Edelblute, Cereal Food Processors and Tom Meyer, Kansas Grain Inspection Service. 

The newly-elected members join the following incumbents on the Board.

  • Todd McQueen, The Scoular Company, Omaha, NE
