TEGMA Welcomes Two New Members

The TEGMA Board of Directors approved two pending member applications during its meeting in Scottsdale on January 28.

CHS Inc. is a diversified energy, grains and foods company. A Fortune 200 company, CHS supplies energy, crop nutrients, livestock feed, grain, food and food ingredients. CHS is a major player in the grain business with its closely integrated network of elevators, marketing offices and export terminals. The cooperative's network of rail, river and export transportation connects its origination based for all major grain and oilseed commodities. Dan Mack is vice president-transportation for the firm.

The Port of Seattle operates Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, terminals serving the cruise industry, cargo handling facilities, public marinas and a number of real estate assets. The Seaport and Airport together generate nearly 200,000 jobs throughout the region with a payroll in excess of $6.8 billion. The Port is a major commercial trade center on the West Coast and employs 1,600 people. Scott Pattison, manager of industrial properties, points out the Port has facilities to handle a variety of general and project cargo, including more than 233 acres of lay down and storage area and 8,000 feet of moorage. The Port of Seattle is The Green Gateway for ocean cargo moving from Asia to most of the United States, with lower carbon emissions for destinations as far as the East Coast, and environmental programs that reduce air emissions from ships and cargo handling equipment.  Louis Dreyfus Commodities operates the Port's grain facility which sits on 40 acres and has a capacity of over 100,000 metric tons. The completely automated terminal is served by both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and the Union Pacific Railroad.
